Calling, Leadership

I Am Called to Lead

When reviewed my ministry experiences over the years, I observed that titles, position, prestige, entitlement, seniority, flowcharts, and degrees don’t make me a leader. They don’t define me either. Rather, they define my credibility, accountability, responsibilities, Christian service, and the results that correlate to the sacrifices I’ve made. The question is what makes me a leader?

God is calling me to lead.

My life has a radical change from the time I realized that God is calling me to lead. God is calling me to lead myself well, to lead in my marriage, friendships, neighborhoods, communities, workplaces, church, parachurch ministry, marketplace ministry, mission organization and in my God-assigned spheres of influence. He is calling me to lead in every areas of my life, to lead from where I am, to lead with all that I have, and to lead in all that I do. I am called to lead.

God’s grace is made perfect in my weakness.

The history of a leading Christ’s transformational mission movement begins when in my weakness that Christ’s grace gives me strength and His power that works in and through me brings glory to God (2 Cor. 12:9-10). I had undergone church discipline where I was a member back in May 2009, I was rejected by one denomination’s evangelism and mission department and one mission organization because they don’t want me to be their missionary, and I applied for office staff and was rejected by a theological seminary without giving any reason. But, God’s grace and mercy abounds. God’s love never fails!

Look, my intent here is to clarify that I had no title, position, prestige, entitlement, and even ecclesiastical affiliation when we laid the cornerstone of LOVE NEVER FAILS™ the key element of Agape Initiatives corporate identity in June 2009, and we founded our first Agape Initiative for Missions (know known as Agape Mission Alliance in September 2009. The truth about the fact is that we cannot limit God by human failures and limitations, and by our man-made doctrines, bylaws, constitutions, denominationalism, and boundaries. Don’t limit God! God’s love, grace, and mercy are literally limitless. I am called to lead.

God is glorified in and through my life.

It is the biblical command to glorify God in all things (1 Cor. 10:31). John Piper has made a statement of his philosophy of life as “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.” As I find my strength in the joy of the Lord, I live more fulfilling and meaningful life. God is both faithful and truthful. If I am right with God, I will be right with myself and with other people. My single priority, over all other priorities, is to please God.

My failures as integral part of success, I have learned to seek God’s will in making the decision. I don’t ever wait for approval of people to embark on ministry initiative which I’m assured is God’s purpose. Through God’s leadership, a leading Christ’s transformational mission movement has been initiated, and history has been made as we accelerate from initiative to movement with its seven high-impact transformational initiatives. God is most glorified in and through my life as I am most satisfied in His calling for my life. I am called to lead.

You are called to lead.

God is calling you to lead in every areas of your life, to lead from where you are, to lead with all that you have, and to lead in all that you do.

What are you waiting for? Are you still waiting for approval of people? Then, you have not the courage to lead.

Make your priority to please God who calls you to lead. His grace will give you strength and His power that works in you will give you the courage to lead.

Start leading today!
