God’s grace and peace to you. “I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2) I am elated by the great things God has done for us.
I was born in 1984 in a remote village in Falam township, Chin State, Myanmar to a self-employed businessman father and a headmistress mother. At the age of 14, I became a follower of Jesus Christ and began to serve in Children’s ministry. And two years later, in 2000, I decided to pursue theological education in Yangon to prepare myself for the ministry. In early 2007, God implanted in me the Agape Vision to initiate agape love movement that accelerates the fulfillment of the Great Commission. My purpose in life is to love God, love people, and make disciples.
In March 2007, I began my career in recruitment and started Agape employment agency from a humble beginning. In June 2009, I started Agape evangelistic ministry from humble beginnings and later initiated seven Agape parachurch ministries and merged into Agape Initiatives in 2018. Since then, it has grown into a movement with multifaceted initiatives to catalyze transformational development that brings redemptive love, transforming grace, living hope, and abundant life to people groups.
In July 2009, I was married to Alice and God has blessed us with three children: Joshua, Joseph, and Janice. My wife Alice and I prayerfully prepared to do greater works God called us to do. We started with 40 days of prayer and half-day fasting to truly rely on God by trusting He will fulfill His purpose and committing ourselves to live in obedience to the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). We are grateful for the privilege of being called into full-time ministry.
In 2009, I began to serve as an itinerant Evangelist, sharing the gospel with unreached people in remote villages and cities across Ayeyarwady Region. In 2011, I began pursuing God’s call to church planting and have planted house churches in Yangon. In September 2012, we started Agape Church with a vision of a healthy church in every community in Myanmar. In March 2018, I founded Agape Group a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing specialized professional services to bring solutions to real-life problems and make a difference in the lives of people. In May 2022, I founded the Association of Independent Churches of Myanmar dedicated to working together to reach the nation.
Since our start of Agape in 2009, we work among Burmese people the most significant and largest unreached in Myanmar. The Lord gave me a burden to provide gospel access to over 45 million unreached people in Myanmar through our Agape Vision 2030 church planting initiative that aims to plant 300 healthy, growing, and multiplying churches among unreached people by the end of 2030.
We desire to see God glorified by reaching the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ through planting a healthy church in every community in Myanmar. We earnestly invite you to partner with us to invest in engaging and transforming lives, equipping and empowering national leaders for church planting, helping church planters and pastors plant and lead healthy, growing, multiplying churches to reach their communities with the gospel, and mobilizing churches and organizations to strengthen and accelerate church planting among the unreached people.
I am asking you to prayerfully consider giving a one-time donation or monthly gift of $50 or $100 or more however much God leads you to. You can give through Allegro Organizational Solutions, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and your gifts are tax-exempt. Please designate your gift to Peter T. Mang – Myanmar.
With your generous donation, you are involved in evangelizing, making disciples, equipping leaders, and planting healthy, growing, multiplying churches among unreached people. Without your financial support, we will not be able to do what God has called us to do. Thank you for your generosity and partnership.
“God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” (2 Cor. 9:8)
Sincerely,
Rev. Peter T. Mang
Agape Family
